Babies truly are the most amazing gift. Capturing all their delightful details before they grow and change is best done when they are between 6 and 14 days old, ensuring I can create images which you see in my gallery. But it's not just about the baby, it's about you all getting to know each other as a family, and your love for your new baby. So we can capture some gorgeous moments of you all together too. All newborn sessions are held in my cozy home studio in Bishopdale.

WHAT IS THE BEST AGE FOR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY?
We aim to photograph your baby between 7-14 days old to get those sweet sleepy newborn images. As we take a limited number of bookings each month it is important to make a reservation as early as possible – so please contact us once you know your due date. Newborn sessions are available Monday-Friday and start at 10am. If your baby is a little older we can still capture some beautiful family portraits - see our Sweet & Simple Sessions! HOW LONG DOES THE SESSION TAKE? We have a couple of different session options for newborns - Sweet & Simple sessions take up to 1 hour, and Classic Newborn sessions takes 2-3 hours. The longer Classic Sessions allow baby not to be rushed if they need a little more time and there will be plenty of opportunity for comforting and milk when needed. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Your newborn session will be a day to remember! Check out our Investments page for full details on packages available. WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING FOR THE BABY? I have everything needed here in the studio for baby with a beautiful selection of bespoke locally & internationally sourced props, wraps, and accessories. You just need to bring your normal nappy bag for changing etc, I'll take care of the rest! CAN WE HAVE A FAMILY PHOTO DURING THE SESSION? Yes of course! We encourage parents and siblings to get in the photos! As parents we have a habit of hiding behind the camera but in years to come your children will ask where you are. As part of booking your session you will receive a Preparation Guide to help you decide on appropriate clothing and makeup. Typically we'll do the family portion of the session at the start, so where there are older siblings involved, they can then be taken off for adventures elsewhere while we finish the session with baby. A hot studio can be tedious for little ones, so an outing to get a fluffy or play at the park is a great idea after we've done the family portraits. CAN WE BOOK OUR SESSION ON THE WEEKEND? Sessions are held Monday-Friday. If necessary we can open the studio on a weekend however please let us know well ahead of time to check availability. Weekend sessions are charged at +$200. CAN WE PURCHASE DIGITAL COPIES? Yes! See the Investments page for more info. WHEN WILL WE GET TO SEE THE PHOTOS? Producing your beautiful photo gallery will take many hours of work to get them ready for viewing. Please allow approximately 2 weeks to view them. We will book your viewing session when you come in for your session. WHERE IS YOUR STUDIO? My cosy home studio is located in Bishopdale, Christchurch. HOW DO WE BOOK A SESSION?
