Newborn photography isn’t just about capturing beautiful images of your baby — it’s about documenting the beginning of your story as a family. These sessions focus on connection, love, and the fleeting moments details that change all too quickly.
With over 13 years of experience as a Christchurch newborn photographer, I specialise in safely handling, soothing, and settling newborn babies to create timeless, natural images during those precious first days.
Newborn sessions are best held when your baby is between 6–18 days old, when they are sleepier and more settled, allowing for the gently posed style you see throughout my gallery. Each session takes place in my warm, cozy home studio in Bishopdale, Christchurch, designed for a calm, baby-led experience.
I take on a limited number of newborn sessions each month to allow flexibility around due dates, so booking early in your pregnancy is recommended.
Your newborn photos become timeless keepsakes, preserving memories you’ll treasure for years to come.
HOW DO YOU BOOK?
Simply select which type of session you would like in the booking form below. You pay a $75 non-refundable deposit to reserve your due date for your session. The remaining amount will be invoiced for payment prior to your session date. Once baby arrives, you contact me and we fix a date for your session to suit.

Wrapped Mini Session ~ $475
$475 | 1 hour | 8 digital images
The wrapped newborn mini session is designed as an affordable and shorter option for parents who want to capture the fleeting moments of their new babe.
This session is for baby only.
The session will include 2 prop sets along with some different beanbag/cushion poses.
Your babe will be wrapped throughout the session in an array of different beautifully textured wraps. Baby may be awake or sleeping for these sessions.
This is Us ~ $575

The This is Us newborn session is a family focused studio session that includes family portraits, mum & bub, dad & Bub, sibling shots (if applicable) and baby only.
These sessions are perfect for babies up to 6 weeks old.
Perfect if you are looking for natural, expressive portraits with lots of parent/family interaction. This session is all about capturing baby naturally, with no props - just natural and timeless. Babies will be wrapped or dressed throughout the session.
Please note no props/baskets are used in these sessions and are more naturally posed.
Wrapped in Family Love ~ $650

The Wrapped in Family love Session is a fantastic option for those wanting the timelessly wrapped posed newborn shots along with our classic family portrait images. The session includes 2 beautifully wrapped and styled prop sets, 2 wrapped blanket poses, sibling poses and posed family shots. Suitable for families with newborn up to 4 weeks old.
Baby will be wrapped for the entire session.
All Loved Up ~ $795
$795 | 2-3 hours | 30 digital images
The All Loved Up collection is for those who don't want to miss a single detail of this precious time. Includes parents/sibling with baby as well as baby on their own. Babies will be wrapped initially for the family sets and prop sets, working towards those gorgeous sleepy curled up baby poses we all love, capturing all the little details along the way.
This includes everything we need to create beautiful portraits of your new baby – including our bespoke selection of beautiful props, wraps and fabrics. We will do 2-3 wrapped and styled prop sets, wrapped blanket poses, and some undressed classic newborn poses.
These sessions are best suited for newborn up to 3 weeks old.
