Babies truly are the most amazing gift. Capturing all their delightful details before they grow and change is best done when they are between 6 and 14 days old, ensuring I can create images which you see in my gallery. But it's not just about the baby, it's about you all getting to know each other as a family, and your love for your new baby. So we will capture some gorgeous moments of you all together too. All newborn sessions are held in my home studio in Bishopdale. What makes me different from other photographers? Upfront, simple pricing - no hidden fees - truely beautiful portraits for you to treasure. How long will it take... Newborn & family sessions typically take about 2 hours, but sometimes a little longer. Baby is boss, and if they need feeding, we'll stop and allow for that before carrying on. It's all part of the experience, and is all accounted for in the time. It's a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere during the session so you get to sit back and relax, and for the most part just watch me work my baby whispering magic! What to bring... I have everything required for baby for the session in the way of props here in the studio. If you have something special you would like incorporated in the session (eg a family shawl) you are welcome to bring that along. Otherwise, just bring yourselves along with your baby bag. I use a lot of soft neutral tones in my images, with some pops of soft colour. If there are particular colours that would better suit the colour scheme of your home so your wall art will fit in perfectly please let me know. Book in to avoid disappointment... It is important to get in contact prior to your baby arriving to ensure a booking. I only shoot a very limited number of Newborns & families each month, don't leave it to the last minute and for newborns - booking in your second trimester is recommended to ensure you don't miss out.
